Business Central is the master of the contact information, so the Business Central contact information will be saved in the event of duplicates. The required fields to synchronize to Microsoft 365 are Name, Email address and they must be of type Person. In both cases, contacts are only synchronized from Outlook if they have the required fields filled in. You can check this in the Microsoft 365 Authentication section of your user profile in the Users list. As a prerequisite, your user profile in Business Central must specify your Microsoft 365 email account. You set up how you want to synchronize contacts with Outlook on the Exchange Sync. Once the contact synchronization is set up, you can start synchronization manually or set up an automatic synchronization that will keep the contacts in sync on a scheduled basis. If the contacts are the same in both places, your work is more straightforward.Ī dedicated folder in Outlook makes contacts easy to find, and you can set a filter to synchronize only the contacts from Business Central that you want to see in Outlook. For example, if you are a sales person, you might do some of your work in Outlook and some of your work in Business Central.

We do not have the KB installed and the instructions to revert to an earlier version does not work either.You can see the same contacts in Business Central as you see in Outlook if you set up contact synchronization.

I will post back and update the thread when I get more informationĭoes anyone know if there is a fix available for this issue? We updated to Office 2013 and BCM 2013 over the weekend and now BCM has become useless for everyone. Since there have been security updates since the August updates I cannot recommend this but sharing so you have all of the details. To revert to an earlier version of Click-To-Run use these steps, If you need to workaround it you can temporarily revert to the August update version or earlier.

The fix is in development but we do not yet know when it will release. This issue has been escalated to the BCM Product Team for a fix.
